Bead Art of Darlene Samuel
Darlene learned to bead early when her
grandmother handed her a needle, leather
and some seed beads in a vain attempt to
keep her quiet.  It didn't work for keeping her
quiet but it did launch her on a life-long
quest to fill in the spaces with the pretty
colored beads. As former President of
Emerald Coast Bead Society, Darlene has
won several awards. Besides local art
shows, her work hangs in The Bud Shack in
Pace, Angel's Garden in Pensacola, and the
Funky Bungalow in Flat Rock North
Carolina.  Darlene is also a fiber artist
working with art dolls and needle felting.
She teaches workshops on beading,
polymer clay and doll making.  "Life is like
beading, you put it together one small piece
at a time, stitching it together with love and
determination and laughter."
